I'm doing good, wonderful actually. I am also very involved on campus. I work at the Damon City Campus as a Peer Leader and Campus Center worker, and I am Vice-President of Student Governance for the on campus student governing body known as S.E.G.A: Student Events and Governance Association. So, anyone looking to or attending MCC in the fall, specifically the Damon City Campus which house Criminal Justice (CRJ), Education (EDU), and Human Service (HUM) majors, feel free to connect with me! I go to the Brighton campus for classes as well so I'm available there too.
Brandy Solomon, 2004 (pictured at above at right)
I received a Psychology BA degree with minors in African American Studies, and Health and Wellness from the University at Buffalo. In April 2004, I was introduced to the Rochester community as a member of the first Sisters Together Achieving Results Debutante Class and, ever since, I have worn my title as the "Most Likely to Succeed" very proudly. I graduated from Joseph C. Wilson Magnet High School with high honors in June, 2004 and entered SUNY University at Buffalo that fall. I truly enjoyed my time at UB, becoming heavily involved in numerous clubs and organizations. During the years, I held positions such as Academic Assistant, Black Student Union Executive Board Member, Residential Counselor, Women's Health and Wellness Advocate, and the list goes on. I used my financial aid and Junior Spring Semester to follow my dream of living overseas. Thus, I studied abroad in England for more than five months and traveled extensively throughout Europe. Upon my return to America, I calculated my credits and realized that my hard work and dedication had paid off. I was finished with my four-year degree in three and a half years, with Magna Cum Laude distinction, meaning my overall cumulative GPA for my Psychology Bachelor of Arts, with minors in African American Studies and Health and Wellness degree was 3.7. Currently, I am working as a Sociotherapist for Hillside Children's Center helping to make the residents lives a little better each day. I plan to go on to a Graduate Program within the Human Services field; however, I am trying to discover my exact path. I am excited for everything that awaits me.
