Keischa J. Higdon

As the founder and full-time CEO of Sisters Together Achieving Results, Inc., (STAR, Inc.), Keischa J. Higdon has been a vital part of the success of STAR, Inc. to date and her vision is the moving force behind the growth of the organization. Herself a Rochester, New York native, Keischa cares deeply about the nurturing and development of young women globally but in particular those in Rochester whose lives are changing by their participation in STAR, Inc.

Education
In 2002, Keischa graduated from Roberts Wesleyan College with a Masters Degree in Management with a concentration in Not-for-Profit organizations. STAR, Inc. was Keischa's final project for her graduate work at Roberts Wesleyan College. Keischa obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Delaware State University in Dover, Delaware in 1990.

Career and Affiliations
Keischa has 20+ years of customer service management experience. In 2010, she became certified as a Rites of Passage Elder from the Rites of Passage Youth Empowerment Foundation located in Miami, FL. In 1997, Keischa received a Public Speaking Certificate from Dale Carnegie. In 1996, Keischa graduated from the United Way of Greater Rochester African American Leadership Development Program. Keischa is affiliated with the East Henrietta Road Church of Christ as a member, a choir member, Sunday School Teacher, and a Team Leader for the Christian Youth Development Program. Keischa is a Teaching and Training by Design Consultant, and a member of the Black Women's Leadership Forum, City of Rochester Pillar of Hope, National Council of Negro Women, Inc., Association of Fundraising Professionals, and the Women's Foundation. Keischa was a member of The Rochester Debutante Club Inc., from 1983-1985, and made her debut into society in 1985.
